How to play MECCHA CHAMELEON

A quick-start guide for players who need the rules, map choice, hiding tips, and first-round setup before friends join the lobby.

Pick a readable first map

Start with Art Gallery or Meeting Room. New players learn faster when rooms have repeated props, clear walls, and short routes.

Hiders should match the room, not just the color

Strong hiding uses material, texture, shadow, and object repetition. A good hiding spot looks boring when the seeker sweeps past it.

Seekers should clear predictable zones first

Check central halls, isolated props, bright objects, and corners that break the room pattern. Call out suspicious shapes before chasing too far from the group.

Use Workshop maps after everyone understands the rhythm

Custom maps are better after the lobby understands basic movement and hiding logic. Use the Workshop guide and Workshop maps directory to choose maps by group size.
